The Long Beach Camerata Singers’ 59th
Season promises to be Brilliant, Bold and Beautiful!

Dr. James K. Bass, Grammy Award-winning Artistic Director, announces the Long Beach Camerata Singers and Catalyst Chamber Ensemble 24/25 season with its opening concert,
This powerfully moving performance is the second and final installment of Camerata’s Peace Project focused on environmental justice. The will celebrate Mother Earth with musical works such as by Jake Runestad, by Gwyneth Walker and by Frank Ticheli. The Camerata Singers eighty-voice choir performance will be held on Saturday, October 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the historic Wilson Auditorium.
The 59th Season will continue with Catalyst’s , featuring the professional a Capella chamber ensemble singing holiday classics and sacred music in a beautiful atmosphere of candles and holiday décor.
Catalyst's Candlelight Christmas will be performed at the Los Altos United Methodist Church in Long Beach on Wednesday, December 4th at 7:30 p.m. and will be repeated at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Palos Verdes on December 8th at 7:30 p.m.

A highlight of the Camerata holiday offerings is the traditional performance of Fredrick Handel’s The 17th annual performance of this classic will be performed by a one -hundred- twenty voice choir with the Tesserae Baroque Ensemble at the newly renovated Long Beach City College Auditorium on Thursday, December 19th at 7:30 p.m.

The music contains the incredible harmonic language of this French master composer and is hopeful in its message to mankind. The "Pié Jesu" has become one of the most beloved melodies in the entire classical repertoire and evokes visions of heaven and a better world to come.The audience will be taken to sounds of the great cathedrals of Paris at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Long Beach on Sunday, March 16th at 4:30 p.m.
The Catalyst Chamber Ensemble will feature some of the greatest music of the Jazz world in . With special vocal arrangements of classics sung by the likes of Sarah Vaughan, Etta James, Louis Armstrong, and Billie Holiday, this concert will put the spotlight on this great American artform. will be performed at Los Altos United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 6 at 4:30 p.m.

Camerata’s final concert of the 24/25 season honors the legacy of the USO (United Service Organizations) and the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII in . The concert, entitled will feature the voices of Camerata’s talented vocalists as they perform some of the1940’s classics by The Andrew Sisters, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman. and are just a few numbers promising a nostalgic experience. will be performed at the historic Wilson Auditorium in May.
